Delete Your Data Without Deleting Your Account

Rec Soccer allows you to request deletion of some or all of your data while keeping your account active. This gives you control over your personal information without losing access to the app.

How to Request Data Deletion

  1. Send an email to privacy@recsoccer.app from the email address associated with your Rec Soccer account.
  2. Include the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
  3. In the email body, specify which types of data you would like deleted (see the table below for options). You may request deletion of all data or select specific categories.
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
  5. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Data You Can Request to Delete

You may request deletion of any of the following data categories while keeping your account:

Content moderation logs (reported messages) Retained up to 90 days Required for community safety

Third-Party Data

Rec Soccer uses third-party services that may independently retain certain data. Deletion of data held by these services is subject to their respective privacy policies:

  • Stripe (payment processing): stripe.com/privacy
  • Firebase / Google (authentication, database): Firebase Privacy
  • Apple App Store / Google Play (in-app purchases): Subject to Apple and Google's respective privacy policies.

What Happens After Your Request

  • We will verify your identity by confirming the email address matches your account.
  • Requested data is permanently deleted within 30 days of verification.
  • Your account remains active with any remaining data intact.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
  • Some features may be limited until you re-enter the deleted information (e.g., rejoining teams).
